Following workshops held 14-18 December 2009, the DLR and ESA/SNSB sponsored experiments have been selected.
DLR sponsored experiments:
- REMOS (University of Stuttgart, Germany): REcession MOnitoring System.
- GAGa (Otto-von-Guericke University Magdeburg, Germany): Granular Anisotropic Gases - study of the effects of anisotropy on granular gas dynamics.
- CoGraMa (University of Cologne & University of Düsseldorf, Germany): COhesive GRAnular Matter - investigation into the behavious of a wet granular gas in microgravity.
- EXPLORE (University of Stuttgart, Germany): EXPeriment for Liquid On-orbit Refueling.
- FOCUS (Technical University of Munich, Germany): First Orbit Curing Experiment of University Students - development and flight testing of a deployable structure with a resin matrix that will be cured after deployment.
ESA/SNSB sponsored experiments:
- SPONGE (University of Padova & University of Padua, Italy): Sounding rocket Propellant OrieNtation microGravity Experiment - determining the propellant retention capabilities of the sponges used in rocket tanks.
- SQUID (KTH Royal Institute of Technology in Stockholm, Sweden): Spinning QUad Ionospheric Deployer - wire-boom deployment system.
- Telescobe (Dublin Institute of Technology, Ireland): Demonstration of a new telescopic boom system.
- M-BEAM (Higher Technical College of Electronics, Moessingerstrasse, Austria): Magnetic BEAring for brushless DC Motor - determining of magnetic bearings for asynchronous motor for maintenance-free operation of gyroscope in microgravity.
